How to rejuvenate your look

How to rejuvenate your look

Rejuvenating your gaze when you feel it’s needed is important. The face is a person’s calling card; the eyes are the window to the soul. A look can convey a wealth of personality and feelings, moods, and so on. The eyes are a unique and distinctive part of each person because no two eyes look alike. Over the years, or for genetic reasons, the skin of the eyelids becomes more lax and tends to sag, giving our faces a sadder and more tired appearance when in reality we may be in perfect condition.

Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery It is the surgery that seeks to aesthetically improve the eyelid, whether upper or lower. In the upper eyelid, eyelid surgery Removes excess skin and clears the look, giving a rejuvenated and more rested appearance. In the lower part, bags under the eyes are eliminated and, in some cases, the wrinkles under the eyes can also be improved.

Rejuvenation of the gaze in men and women

The most frequent candidates for eyelid surgery are usually both women and men from 35 years of age. with good general health. Some patients, due to their genetic traits, present apparent excess skin from a younger age.

It is important to detect those patients who have very droopy eyebrows since, in these cases, eyelid surgery does not clear the eyelid sufficiently and it may be necessary to add an eyebrow lift.. Like any cosmetic surgery, it’s important to have reasonable expectations for eyelid surgery. This surgery will improve our appearance, restore facial vitality, and make us feel better about ourselves, but it can’t achieve dramatic changes in appearance since its effect is limited to the eyelids.

Before and after upper blepharoplasty surgery

How a brow lift can benefit you

Brow lift surgery involves lifting the forehead and eyebrows to the desired position. To do this, we must weaken the ligaments and muscles that hold the eyebrows in place.

Entering through five small, 1.5 cm incisions in the scalp to make them invisible. Through these, with the aid of tiny cameras (endoscopes) and instruments, the surgeon can penetrate the suspensory ligaments of the eyebrows and the brow muscles beneath the skin. Once weakened, the forehead and eyebrows are now free and can be adjusted to the desired height. This can be done in different ways depending on the situation, but we primarily use self-priming luminaires or Tissucol (bioglue).

Upper blepharoplasty is often performed in conjunction with a brow lift, but in these cases, blepharoplasty is always more conservative.
