The eyebrows and the eye contour are an essential part of our face. They say the eyes are the mirror of the soul, so imagine how much influence is conveyed through this part of the body. However, they aren’t always to our liking and can play tricks on us. Therefore, a facelift may be the solution.

Droopy eyebrows often make the eyes appear more sunken and give the face a sad, angry appearance that may not correspond to reality. Elevating the eyebrows and, at the same time, stretching and reducing forehead wrinkles is possible with a forehead lift or brow lift. It’s the best solution for restoring a more relaxed, natural, and rejuvenated appearance to the face.

Endoscopic brow lift

An endoscopic brow lift not only significantly improves eyebrow position but also results in clearer eyelids and a noticeable reduction in forehead wrinkles. It’s also known as a “forehead lift” because it stretches the forehead and elevates the eyebrows in patients with drooping eyebrows. It’s performed through small incisions in the scalp , but the dissection continues inferiorly and is not limited to the forehead but also extends to the cheeks, seeking a lift of the forehead and cheeks, achieving a very natural vertical lift. To achieve this, the ligaments and muscles that hold the eyebrows in position must be weakened.

Through small, almost invisible incisions in the scalp, the ligaments and muscles of the eyebrows are accessed subcutaneously (using a small camera (endoscope) and with the aid of an instrument). Once weakened, the forehead and eyebrows are free and can be pre-fixed to the desired height. To secure the new position, Dr. José Nieto uses self-absorbing fixation devices.

In some cases, upper eyelid surgery is often performed in conjunction with a brow lift, but in these cases, blepharoplasty will always be more conservative to avoid unnatural results.
